The house
Nyumba ya Madau - the house of the canoes - is a unique beach house entirely decorated in local Swahili style with five double rooms. It is located on a white sandy beach of the most isolated and charming bays of Watamu, an exclusive location for a special holiday with family and friends or for a couple.
The house has a private beach and solarium. You can relax sitting on its gorgeous veranda with the sea breeze while watching the incredible show of the tides. The house has also a luxuriant garden and numerous spots to discover and enjoy.
The house is located within a compound guarded by professional security 24/7. The compound has a swimming pool (just behind the house) with sea water, ideal for kids and adults.
Nyumba ya Madau can be rented with staff daily/weekly/monthly on a self-catering basis. The staff includes a trained italian/kenyan cook, a waiter, a cleaner and a gardener. The cook can shop for you. Fresh fish and octopus are brought daily to the house by local fishermen.

The house has 4 double rooms (king size) and 1 twin beds (queen size). They all have en-suite bathroom and fan. The three rooms facing the garden have A/C, the two rooms facing the ocean have no A/C. At the time of booking let us know the room you would like.
Additional single bed or cot can be provided.
